Description

A vacancy is now available for a full time AMD Clerk to work at the Oldham Integrated Care Centre to maintain the Ophthalmology AMD service at this site.

You will book clinics and treatments in line with policy and schedules made by doctors and maintain the nurse injectors prescriptions in a filing system and work within the wider MDT.

You will communicate with patients through telephone and the letter system and support the OPD Manager and Macular team by undertaking a broad range of clerical and administrative duties supporting the service to achieve its key targets.

You will also will be expected to liaise with senior clinical staff and managers on the maintenance of services ensuring that accurate information is provided to staff and patients.

The role will include data entry/retrieval and you will maintain a high level of professionalism and respect at all times.

Communication with MDT and clinical staff as well as your patients within your waiting lists.

Booking changing and cancelling appointments and ensuring all systems have this information correctly adjusted.

Planning and using your organisation skills to manage patients' appointments at the appropriate time. acknowledging the importance of the timing of such appointments in the treatment plans.

Ability to seek support from clinical and MDT colleagues for advice.

Maintain mandatory training and be aware of current policies.

Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
