Practice Education Facilitator:

Band 6 Permanent 1.0 WTE (37.5 hours per week) Do you want to support our evolving Education Agenda across the stroke unit.


Are you an enthusiastic, confident and resourceful Registered Nurse who is interested in moving into an education environment? If so, this unique opportunity may be for you.


The successful appointee will support all aspects of the post-registration Nurse Education portfolio and also would be expected to support the pre-registration agenda as required.

To work within an educational environment. Supporting the values and standards of compassion and respect in care, demonstrating decision-making skills, delivering educational sessions to registered and non-registered nurses providing a clinically and educationally excellent, high quality service which will influence and facilitate change within the organisation

Work alongside clinical staff, promoting best practice, providing support and education, facilitating a learning environment and development of staff to meet local requirements


Participate in supporting a culture of protecting patients from harm and deprivation of basic rights ensuring a safe and effective service with continuous quality improvement.

To work within an educational environment.

Supporting and reinforcing the values and standards of compassion and respect in care, demonstrating analysis and decision-making skills, delivering educational sessions to registered and non-registered nurses, providing a clinically and educationally excellent, high quality service which will influence and facilitate change within the organisation.


Ensure a high standard of care and record keeping in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Council, Health and Care Professions Council, national legislation and local standards.


Demonstrate a specialist level of knowledge, skill and understanding of clinical practice standards within the Trust acting as a resource and role model to colleagues.

Support staff with specialist advice in relation to practice education.
