Description
We are seeking a reliable and computer literate Warehouse Assistant to join our team.

The Warehouse Assistant will primarily be responsible for handling various tasks within the warehouse, including computer-based duties, lifting and moving items, and assisting with general warehouse operations.

This is a temporary to permanent on the successful completion of 12 weeks work.


Responsibilities:


  • Utilize computer systems and software to manage inventory, track shipments, and update warehouse databases.
  • Process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, including receiving, inspecting, and storing items.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to provided guidelines.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and containers, utilizing appropriate equipment and following safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet operational goals.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in using inventory management software, spreadsheet programs, and other relevant tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and processing orders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime if required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety practices.
Working Hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30


Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm

Contract length: 12 weeks


Salary:
£10.50 per hour
