Description
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic team member to join a busy, thriving business in an office environment.


This person would be involved in different aspects of the business with particular focus on supporting the purchasing and accounts functions.

They will be looking to develop the role and to advance within the company.

Key elements of the role include:

Purchasing

  • Raising purchase order to suppliers
  • Track deliveries to site and the head office as required including making sure all deliveries are sent to the correct location on time, in full, and are correctly recorded and booked in.
  • Proactively addressing possible shortages.
  • Building up supplier relationships.
  • Chasing purchase invoices, checking them to purchase orders and delivery notes and inputting these on the internal job system. Generate a weekly invoice report for accounts.
  • Generate parts lists on a weekly basis and present to scheduling and engineering.
  • Maintaining a stock holding of parts within the business including PPE, stationary and other consumables.

Administration

1. Vehicles**- Updating and tracking company insurance details.

  • Monitor and renew vehicle tax, MOT's, repairs, breakdown and servicing.
  • Order and update fuel cards.
  • Monitor congestion charges and similar fees.

2. General**- Maintain tooling records and tracking system.

  • Ensure tooling calibration is maintained according to renewal requirements.
  • Maintain supplier records on tracking system, chasing suppliers for updated documentation.
  • Maintain and complete security vetting documents for key clients.
  • Support of the general administration of the office as and when required.
  • Good IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) SYNERGIST experience would be preferable, however training can be given.
  • Excellent communication skills as you will be a key point of contact both within and out of the business.
  • Very strong organisational skills as you must be good at prioritising your workload to help the business run smoothly.
  • Previous experience in an engineering environment would be of benefit.
