**Head of Engineering wanted for an immediate start


Location:
Cambridgeshire

Length: 3 months, temporary ongoing

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Mon - Fri

  • Main responsibilities of the role_
  • Responsible for the line management of engineering teams across a large site
  • Assisting in the development of strategies and standard operational procedures (SOPs) and Service Level Agreements (SLA's) for delivery of continuous improvements relating to all aspects and functions of Estates engineering services
  • Implement and maintain a planned maintenance provision for engineering service assets
  • Arrange periodic audits and reviews of service provision against specified requirements
  • Ensure the effective planning and programming of planned preventative maintenance tasks as well as reactive work
  • Develop and update policies and procedures
  • Produce specifications for refurbishments / building works, maintenance contracts whilst communicating with contractors to ensure the service is provided in accordance with the specification
  • Responsible for the financial and budgetary management of Engineering services
  • Monitoring and developing action plans in regard to risk, health and safety
  • Essential requirements_
  • Bachelor's / postgraduate degree in relevant Management area
    or equivalent professional qualification(s)/accreditations related to Engineering
  • Experience of managing large teams across sites
  • Engineeringbased background
