Responsibilities:

  • Provide counselling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans based on clients' needs
  • Implement evidencebased therapeutic techniques and interventions
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions and support groups if required.
As a Senior Counsellor, your primary responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Working with a range of clients, addressing their diverse needs, and providing therapeutic support. This would either be in person sessions or online as agreed.
  • Developing and maintaining strong therapeutic relationships with clients, providing empathy, understanding, and a safe space for exploration and growth.
  • Conducting assessments and formulating appropriate treatment plans based on clients' specific goals and concerns.
  • Implementing evidencebased therapeutic interventions and techniques to promote healing and personal development.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records using the online diary system, ensuring compliance with relevant legal and BACP/COSCA ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborating with other professionals, organisations, and agencies to ensure continuity of care and support for clients as required.
  • Participating in professional development activities to remain updated on current research, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Attend and contribute to Company Team meetings, which may be required outside of normal working hours.

Requirements:


You should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Hold a recognised Diploma in a Counselling qualification and 1 years' experience is preferrable however newly qualified counsellors will also be considered.
  • Experience in conducting counselling sessions and providing therapeutic support to individuals and couples (preferrable).
  • Knowledge and or experience of different therapeutic approaches and interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport, demonstrate empathy, and establish trust with clients and other members of the team.
  • Strong organisational skills to effectively manage client caseloads, maintain accurate records, and prioritise tasks.
  • Adherence to professional codes of ethics as per BACP/COSCA guidelines and PVG Disclosure requirements.
  • Proactive attitude towards professional development and continuous learning.

Salary:
£28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
