Infrastructure Engineer / Cambridge / C.£40k


TEC Partners are currently working with a great business in Histon who are looking to add an Infrastructure to their team to be at the heart and soul of supporting the business's users, software and infrastructure on a day-to-day operational basis.


This role will report to the Head of IT and you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting and developing the onsite network, server, security and cloud IT infrastructure.

If you are someone who wants to work for an organisation that makes a differenceand are an all around strong Infrastructure Engineer then this role is for you.

The following experience is essential for the role Knowledge of windows server technologies (Active Directory, Microsoft Office365 & Windows Desktop)

  • Experience of Networking (Cisco) Switch and firewall (Cisco, Palo Alto)
  • Previous experience of server virtualisation (VMware, HyperV)
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management (AWS/Azure)
  • Physical hands on server experience, racking, iDRAC, etc
  • Able to act with integrity and professionalism
  • Working with confidential data in a secure environment
The following experience is desirable for the role Knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act

  • Up to date knowledge of internet technologies
  • Knowledge of project management method such as Prince2, Agile & Lean
  • Encryption Technologies
