JUNIOR COMEDY PRODUCER

Reporting to Producers


Responsible for Supporting the Producers on all aspects of the comedy festivals and shows produced by
57, with a focus on on-sale and promotion.


Salary £27.5k per annum.


Contract Full time, fixed term (12 months) inc 3 month probationary period.


Location Combined. London office/remote and on-location.


Hours 40 hours per week.
Based on Mon, Weds, Thurs & Fri in the office (10-6pm).
Plus weekend / evening shows with seasonal variations.


Annual Leave 25 days a year plus public holidays (pro rata depending on hours of work).

Our series of summer comedy festivals present the absolute best comedians of the moment in superb live settings. In summer 2023 our festivals landed in Bristol, Brighton, St Albans, Manchester and Greenwich.
We welcomed in over
70,000 comedy fans to shows starring big name acts like ED GAMBLE, PHIL WANG, FERN BRADY and BRIDGET
CHRISTIE alongside rising stars such as ANIA MAGLIANO, JOSH PUGH, AMY GLEDHILL, CELYA AB and many more.


Throughout the year we programme and promote a series of critically-acclaimed shows and tours including _Live at The Chapel_ and the twelve-date tour _Live at Christmas_.

We also provide bespoke comedy programming for other festivals, venues and brands.


JOB OVERVIEW


This brand new position of
Junior Comedy Producer will form a pivotal role within
57, who are looking for a dynamic and creative person to join the team to help build on the success of their existing events and expand their portfolio.


You will assist with all aspects of the on-sale, promotion, advertising and communications for our events and will be involved with creating and implementing social media and traditional marketing strategies.


When creating content we will expect you to adopt and maintain our established narrative and creative style, and make recommendations to elevate and enhance this activity.


Your role will focus on promoting the sale of tickets, analysing sales patterns, driving engagement among target audiences, building our digital community and delivering bespoke campaigns with our partners.


You will also be expected to create and manage budgets, track and report ticket sales, analyse and make recommendations to strategies, interact with our community, maintain strong communication with our event team and suppliers and absorb administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and reporting.

This is a multi-faceted role that will suit a multi-talented individual.

The scope of the job has been outlined below however this is not an exhaustive list, as the role develops additional responsibility may arise.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond swiftly and be reactive to the fastmoving nature of this role.
  • Work alongside the Producers to collate and coordinate the necessary assets for the onsale of our events.
  • Manage show set ups and onsales across all ticketing partners, and their marketing departments.
  • Devise and deliver marketing campaigns for a range of events, monitor their eectiveness and be prepared to make recommendations based on sales performance.
  • Work alongside our designers and web team to collate and create assets, and implement a coordinated and eective campaign across all our/partner platforms including paid media, ticketing partners and sponsors.
  • Create high quality copy and content in line with our existing narrative and style for use across our social media platforms, member mailers, press releases and partner activity.
  • Create andmanagemarketing timelines, budgets and reports for all events.
  • Issue press releases, liaise with media contacts and secure press coverage.
  • Maintain sales reports and use knowledge to enhance and retarget marketing activity.
  • Liaise with ticketing partners for allocations and osales/customer lists, collate sales sheets across all ticketing agents, manage reporting and postevent settlement and invoicing.
  • Maintain and update media lists for regional and national purposes.
  • Maintain and update mailing list data for all events.
  • Ensure payments and reporting systems are maintained on GDrive.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide and collate reports and coordinate postevent debriefs with relevant parties.
  • Maintain GDrive folders for all events and ensure all relevant documentation is archived.
  • Support with live shows where necessary.
  • Keep uptodate with the latest developments in contemporary comedy in order to collaborate on an expanding programme.
  • General administrative support and other duties as required.
  • Assist the Producers on other aspects of the events as necessary.
