About You and the Role

This is a fixed-term role for 2 years, working part-time 18.5 hours per week.


The primary role of the workplace tutor is to act as the main point of contact for learners undertaking an Apprenticeship or a work placement/internship opportunity as part of their studies.


You will contribute to the management and scheduling of face-to-face (or online) tripartite meetings throughout the course, visiting apprentices (in person or virtually) in their workplace setting to undertake assessments, and progress reviews.


You will act as an important link between the academic staff in the course team and the apprentices' employers, contributing to reports relating to individual learning plans, apprenticeship progress, assessing the quality of the workplace learning experience and maintaining records for compliance purposes.


You will also play an integral role in the management of the employer/university relationship by developing and managing positive relationships with employers.
