Electrical Installation Apprenticeship Programme

As an Electrical Installation apprentice, you will gain an industry recognised Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation whilst gaining valuable skills learning on the job with one of our long serving experienced teams.

Typical Duties will include:

Install, maintain and repair electrical services as part of our infrastructure projects
Be safety conscious and able to develop a good understanding of health & safety procedures and safe working practices
Reads, interprets and executes drawings, schematics, blueprints and electrical code specifications to see layout of commercial electrical equipment installations
Tests electrical and equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
Installs, repairs or replaces AC/DC motors and drives, transformers, motors, starters, relays and hydraulic and gas electrical controls
Installs, repairs or replaces electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibreoptic and line assemblies, lighting and alternative electrical parts
Installs, repairs or replaces generators and industrial storage batteries
Do preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems (including power distribution equipment)
Installs electrical circuits, as well as panels, conduit, protecting devices, switches, and equipment required to accommodate the CEC and/or NEC
Works on electrical failures and replaces components wherever production time is often affected
Conducts preventive and maintenance programmes and keeps maintenance records
May install, maintain and calibrate industrial equipment and connected devices
Complies with standards and procedures of industry, safety manual and abide by safety rules

What qualification will I receive through the apprenticeship?

For this apprenticeship you will be based at our Golborne Depot, Warrington, WA3 3UB.

What do I need to be considered for the apprenticeship?

GCSE Maths and English at grade A
C / 49 (or equivalent)
You don't need to have previous experience for the role, but you do need to be ready to learn, have a positive mindset and a cando attitude
Eligible to work in the UK with a valid work permit if applicable. Please note, that we do not provide sponsorship.
