About the Role:


GSL Education are actively seeking a qualified
ASD Teaching Assistant for immediate placement at Client Primary Schools in
Hexham. The schools are dedicated to creating a nurturing space where students with ASD can thrive. Join us an ASD Teaching Assistant to contribute to their growth, ensuring a supportive and enriching educational experience.


ASD Teaching Assistant
Role:


  • Offer onetoone or small group support for Primary school students with ASD, facilitating their access to the curriculum.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and customized strategies to enhance the learning experience for students with ASD.
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to modify and differentiate lessons, ensuring alignment with the specific needs of students with ASD.
  • Establish and maintain a structured, supportive classroom environment that fosters academic and social growth for students with ASD.
  • Proactivity, resilience, kindness and empathy
  • A full checkable work history
  • Proven experience working with secondary school students with ASD.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and patience when working with students with ASD.
  • A commitment to helping these students achieve their full potential.
