Manchester

Up to £40,000


We are pleased to be working with an amazing Accountancy Practice based within Manchester, who are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their rapidly growing team.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and motivated Senior Accountant to join a forward-thinking firm who pride themselves on progression and growth.


Duties:


  • The preparation of complex accounts and tax returns.
  • Supporting managers with the workflow and deadlines of your department.
  • Supporting the team and junior members of staff with their own workflow and deadlines whilst assisting with their own progression and development.
  • Ideally take the lead with client management to build strong working relationships with clients.
  • Liaising with specialists internally and externally to support their everchanging needs and gaining a clear understanding of the daytoday issues faced.
  • Acting as a lead with cloudbased software so as to support the migration of all clients with the need to be ready for Making Tax Digital.
  • Building a strong understanding of the clients and the department so you can step up to a management position in future.

Requirements:


  • Strong experience working in an accountancy practice, 4 years or more.
  • Strong experience using cloud accountancy software, Quickbooks and Xero (preferred).
  • Previous experience with client management and the ownership of a portfolio of clients.
  • Previous experience supporting junior staff in both output and development.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
