Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to challenging autistic pupils in a school setting
- Implement behaviour management strategies and provide guidance and support to pupils
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to develop and implement individualized plans for pupils
- Monitor and record pupil progress and report any concerns to relevant staff members
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for all pupils
Qualifications:
- Experience working with challenging autistic pupils in a school setting
- Understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Patience, empathy, and compassion
Preferred qualifications:
- A degree in psychology, education, or a related field
- Experience working with pupils with additional needs or disabilities
- Certification in behaviour management or positive behaviour support
