As an Assurance Specialist, you'll drive the development and delivery of 2nd Line Assurance activities across NGV to provide assurance against risk and controls relating to compliance with both regulatory and National Grid standards.
An ability to work to tight timescales to deliver quality assurance outputs whilst achieving high levels of customer satisfaction is essential.
As part of an ambitious Assurance department, we'll empower you to expand your knowledge and experience across the entire National Grid Ventures organisation and make a real difference in the way the company works.
We'd hope to see you in the Warwick office one or two days per week and you're welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you.
Key accountabilities:
- Support in the development, planning and delivery of Risk, Compliance, Safety and Resilience related assurance activities across the NGV portfolio, providing assurance against controls and compliance against National Grid Group Standards, regulatory and legal requirements.
- Deliver assigned assurance plans to time, quality and ethical standards, proactively looking for areas of improvement and providing value adding and insightful recommendations that address control and process opportunities and issues.
- Produce assurance output reports that are of high quality and effectively communicate the agreed scope of work, key findings and recommendations of each assurance activity to related stakeholders.
- Operate GRC tool for Risk Management to record, track and monitor assurance activities and output.
- Work effectively with the Enterprise risk function in embedding the risk framework.
About you:
- Proven understanding in the execution of control selfassessment and/or assurance activities.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence and courage to challenge behaviours and issues, and influence decision making.
- The ability to foster and build a collaborative working relationship with a range of both internal and external stakeholders, effectively utilising/ mobilising virtual teams.
What you'll get:
A competitive salary between £44,000 - £50,000 - dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
