Quince Design is an established cabinetmaking business based in Brislington Bristol. We mainly work within the Bristol and Bath area but also further afield.

With an excellent reputation we make and finish our handmade furniture in our workshop to be fitted for a variety of clients as well as working with architects and interior designers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare furniture surfaces for finishing by stripping, sanding, and filling imperfections
• Use hand tools and equipment to fabricate or modify furniture components as needed
• Assemble furniture pieces according to specifications and quality standards
• Inspect finished furniture for defects and make necessary repairs or adjustments
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:

• Experience with spraying paints and lacquers (predominantly water based)
• Proficient in using electrical tools and equipment for furniture finishing
• Knowledge of different finishing techniques, including staining, painting, and varnishing
• Ability to fabricate or modify furniture components as required
• Experience with heavy lifting and handling of furniture pieces
• Familiarity with hand tools used in furniture assembly and repair
• Attention to detail and ability to produce highquality finished products

Salary:
£10.50-£15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week

Experience:

- furniture finishing: 1 year (required)

• Carpentry: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• CSCS (preferred)
