Join us as a Fraud Controls Lead

  • In this highly strategic role, you'll be leading teams of control specialists to make sure that the material risks of the business have cost effective key controls
  • You'll be making sure that the material risks are identified, key controls are established, and any remediation activity is within the risk appetite and supports our strategic objectives
  • It's a fantastic opportunity to hone your skills, as you'll be working closely with the senior management and providing recommendations on the risk and control environment

What you'll do:


As a Controls Lead, you'll define the risk appetite within the function, with risk and appetite having an accountable executive owner and demonstrable activity.

You'll manage specific aspects of control management reporting, delivery of risk assessment, and interpretation of regulations and policy, making sure there is proactive risk management aligned to customer and business needs.


Your role will also involve:

  • Conducting independent review of controls and supporting the function to implement an effective controls' framework
  • Managing SOX requirements, such as quarterly SOX testing and reports on SOX control testing
  • Rolling out globally or regionally driven controls related initiatives in the business
  • Providing coaching and assistance to colleagues and delivering relevant trainings and cross trainings
  • Publishing the monthly control MI pack

The skills you'll need:


To join us in this role, you'll need to have a degree or equivalent experience or qualifications in finance, banking or economics with a strong working knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and prior SOX experience.

Additionally, we would prefer you to have previous experience in risk, audit and compliance. A CIA, ACCA or CIMA qualification will also be advantageous.

We'll also look to you to have:

  • Prior experience in a banking or control function
  • An understanding of financial products
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to investigate issues to the root cause
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
