Caretaker - Laithes Primary School

30 Hours per week

£21,164 (Pro-rata) £11hour

Barnsley Norse is working in partnership with Barnsley Borough Council to deliver a comprehensive range of first-class cleaning services across the local areas.

We have a successful partnership with
Laithes Primary School and we are looking to recruit a Caretaker on a part time basis, you'll be required to work 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, approx 7am-10am and 3pm-6pm.

The role

As the Caretaker, you will ensure that the school buildings and associated sites are maintained to the highest of standards, providing a clean and safe environment for all on site.

In addition to securing the site, you will be responsible for all day to day maintenance, ensuring the building is in a good state of repair and works are planned around its service users.

You will be pro-active in your approach with excellent communication and customer service skills. You will be competent in all aspects of minor maintenance.

Experience of working in a similar role with a clear understanding of Health and Safety related and safe working practices.

Previous experience in a similar role
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to work within a team or on your own
Knowledge of Health & Safety
