Description
Job Purpose
To support the Optometrist during clinics in care homes in providing a range of optical services to patients whilst showing the highest level of customer service.
Duties
- Pretesting
- Dispensing of glasses/contact lenses
- Delivering and fitting glasses
- Accurate record keeping
- Providing excellent customer service
- Repairing glasses
Person Specification
- Experience working within a care home setting is advantageous
- Previous optical experience required
- GCSE Math's and English or equivalent
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic with a cando approach
- Applicants must have a full driving license (a fully expensed company car will be provided for both business and personal use)
- Able to work the hours of 8.30 am until 5.30 pm (40 hours) Monday to Friday, with some degree of flexibility due to the nature of the role/ travel
