Job Purpose

To support the Optometrist during clinics in care homes in providing a range of optical services to patients whilst showing the highest level of customer service.

Optical Experience of at least 1 year is essential.

Duties

Pretesting
Dispensing of glasses/contact lenses
Delivering and fitting glasses
Accurate record keeping
Providing excellent customer service
Repairing glasses

Person Specification

Experience working within a care home setting is advantageous
Previous optical experience required
GCSE Math's and English or equivalent
Good organizational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic with a cando approach
Applicants must have a full driving license (a fully expensed company car will be provided for both business and personal use)
Able to work the hours of 8.30 am until 5.30 pm (40 hours) Monday to Friday, with some degree of flexibility due to the nature of the role/ travel
