A position for a full time receptionist / reservations job share has become available for a busy 4 star hotel in the heart of Carnoustie.


We are looking for passionate customer service driven individuals, with strong communication skills to leave a lasting impression with our guests as the first point of contact upon their hotel journey.

A full job Description will be given during an interview but some responsibilities include:

  • To consistently achieve the Reception service delivery standards of check in and out at all times.
  • To greet all guests warmly and sincerely using the guest's name at all times, first impressions are key
  • Provide a constant point of reference for guests and maintain good communication with all departments
  • To anticipate and to provide for our Guest needs, taking the initiative to check guests requirements
  • To ensure correct use of reception systems, efficient handling of bookings
  • To follow procedures for all cash and credit payments.
  • To comply with statutory and legal requirements for fire, licensing, health safety and ensure you are working in accordance with these requirements.
  • Efficiently handle all general enquiries, including dinner reservations, golf bookings, spa bookings etc.
  • Accurately administer all reservations, ensuring all details are accurate before guest arrivals.

What we are looking for:


  • Passionate Customer service experience an asset
  • Must possess a professional appearance
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work as part of a large team and as an individual.
  • Must be able to problem solve and think on your feet.
  • Computer Literate in Microsoft Programs Including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • High level to attention to detail with the guests overall satisfaction always in mind.
  • This role is shift work and will involve weekends. Shifts will vary times from 7am to 11pm and applicants must be able to travel to and from work around these hours.
