A London based Lloyd's (Re)insurance Underwriting business is recruiting for a UK Financial Controller.

You will also be responsible for the UK Group process, creating and maintaining an environment of robust and effective financial reporting with strong processes, procedures and controls and take the lead on responsibility for UK Group financial reporting and tax management.

In addition, you will work with finance colleagues to ensure that the group-wide systems of internal financial controls and reporting are appropriate and robust.

Additionally, the role-holder will build strong relationships with the External Auditors, and peers across finance, risk and the business.

Applicants need to be qualified accountants with significant experience working at a controllership level gained within a non-life insurance business (preferably Lloyd's but this is not essential), have a good understanding of London and international (re)insurance market dynamics, have experience running a finance team, developing systems, controls and financial models and have a good understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS and UK Tax requirements.
