Data Engineer / BI Engineer / Data / Power BI - Azure, Power BI, Acturis, ETL, SQL, Data, Python, data governance, quality, migration, modelling, Data warehousing
This role will report directly into the Head of Architecture & Engineering for the international business.

We are looking for a seasoned hands-on individual with a strong background in delivering modern cloud-first data solutions for the business.

You should be a natural coach and likes to promote best practises around everything data and business intelligence.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build strategic cloudfirst data solutions.
  • Enjoy wearing several hats across data analysis and data/bi engineering.
  • Expert with PowerBI who will deliver dashboards and tabular reports for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Design, implement and maintain a big data platform on Azure from ingestion, orchestration, transformation, and visualisation.
  • Opportunity to shape the direction of the data and bi strategy for a multimilliondollar organisation.
  • Experienced working in a complex architectural estate using a variety of technologies.
  • Experienced in migrating onpremise solutions to the cloud.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and feasibility analysis
  • Design, develop, and maintain reporting data stores, data pipelines, and transformation packages supporting internal reports as well as reports embedded in clientfacing portal
  • Continuously maintain knowledge of the latest developments in ETL tools, capability, and best practices.
Skills/ Attributes Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of practical experience with the Azure Data Suite and Power Platform.
  • Significant practical experience working with big data platforms.
  • Advanced working knowledge in SQL, Python, and any other data languages
  • Experience in building and maintaining data pipelines and architecture
  • Demonstrable experience across data engineering disciplines including data governance, quality, migration, modelling, and warehousing
  • Open to learning new technologies, methodologies, and skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Experience delivering enterprisegrade software.
  • Experience and advocates Agile ways of working
