IT Technician (Aerospace/ Manufacturing)

Salary:
£24,000 to £28,000 based on skills, experience, and relevant qualifications.
Job type:
Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week over a 4-day week, Monday to Thursday.
Brookhouse Aerospace is a well-known and respected name in the Aerospace Industry currently in its 71st year, and during this time, the business has seen many positive changes following an MBO in 2021 from Kaman UK.
We are approved and certified for JOSCAR, AS 9100 and NADCAP certificated and are approved Tier 1 and 2 suppliers to the Aerospace and Defence manufacturers in the UK and internationally, such as Airbus, BAE, MBDA, Rolls Royce, Safran and Spirit.
The role:
We are currently searching for a highly experienced IT Technician with at least two years of working experience within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Maintaining the computer and network systems of Brookhouse Aerospace Limited.
Duties include troubleshooting and diagnosing computer hardware and software issues, setting up computer networks and assisting employees with IT Related problems.
- Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organisation.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems.
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
- Repairing and replacing damaged and computer and network components
- Ensuring that security of server computers via installed antivirus and firewall software
- Supporting whenever there are challenges with computers and network devices
- Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly
- Testing new hardware and software before full scale installation
- Level 2 Certificate in ICT Systems Support or an advanced apprenticeship in IT support or IT infrastructure is also helpful.
- Worked in a similar role such as IT Help Desk, and IT Support.
- Network Configuration, diagnostics, and maintenance.
- Technical support remotely and need to be familiar with virtual network solutions.
- Selfmotivated and proactive
- Ability to solve problems.
- Identifying, diagnosing, and troubleshooting issues
- Patience
- Listening and empathise with nontechnical employees who have issues with their computer systems.
Working pattern:
4-day week Monday to Thursday 07:15 am to 5:00 pm totalling 37 hours weekly.
