Are you passionate about electromechanical engineering and ready to take on a new challenge in the field of aerial survey data capture and analysis? APEM, a leading environmental consultancy is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced ElectromechanicalEngineer (Airborne Systems) to join our Data Operations team.
As an Electromechanical Engineer at APEM, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and high-impact projects that make a real difference in supporting UK and international wildlife survey and remote sensing projects.
You will be responsiblefor the maintenance, development and enhancement of our internal camera systems, ensuring that all systems are performing at the highest capability and are utilised effectively.
You will work closely with our wider survey teams to ensure camera systems arefit for surveying purposes.You will have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline, with solid understanding of electromechanical engineering and system integration.
You must have camera system and architecture design experience in a highly regulated industry and adhering to designstandards to ensure compliance.
Experience with machine shop tooling and equipment as well as communication protocols such as TCP/IP, RS323/422, CAN is essential.
This role will allow the opportunity to get involved in all aspects of aerial survey system maintenance and become a technical expert around airborne systems for aerial surveying and other remote sensing activities.
