Description

We are looking for a caring and fun Personal Assistant to work with a fun, loving and happy teenager with Cerebral Palsy.

Our client needs support doing fun activities, learning and maintaining her independence.

If you are passionate about supporting children with learning difficulties, we would like to talk to you. Previous experience is desirable but not essential, we want the right person to work with our client.


The role will involve:


  • Implementing all aspects of the care plan
  • Supporting with play and learning activities
  • Being proactive, making the daily tasks fun and promoting independence for the child
  • Working in the family home with sensitivity to support the parents/family
  • Taking the child to activities in the local community

Qualifications / ideal experience desirable:


  • QCF/NVQ 2/3 or equivalent
  • Previously worked with children with learning difficulties in the home setting
  • Excellent communication / listening skills
  • Ability to understand play and learning to develop skills
  • Full clean driving licence
  • You will need to be fully conversant with safeguarding children and you will need to be familiar with the legal requirements of the Children's Act and Legislation pertaining to carers

Hours:

Various shifts available


Salary/Hourly rate:

£ £12.00 per hour


All applicants invited for interview will need to provide two references and, if successful, will need an enhanced DBS disclosure.


Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 24-36 per week


Salary:
£11.00-£12.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Witham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • UK Driving License (required)
