Description

  • Ensure effective environmental, health, safety and security processes are in place and implemented through the organisation, providing a day to day advisory role
  • Provide competent advice to line management on EH&S issues
(incidents, investigations, risk assessments, procedures employee concerns, emergency preparedness and changes affecting EH&S), as well as related compliance issues (insurance, controlled drugs,business continuity, waste, occupational health)

  • Support managers to ensure all significant risks are covered by a suitable and sufficient risk assessment process (COSHH, manual handling and ergonomic).
  • Ensure EH&S training (including inductions) are provided monitored, recorded and delivered internally
  • Coordinate the reporting and investigation of accidents, injuries, dangerous occurrences, near misses and workrelated ill health
  • Oversee/participate in workplace EH&S audits and inspections
  • Monitor and follow up EH&S actions and prepare monthly performance metrics
  • Coordinate EH&S committee meetings and maintain records
  • Provide leadership and contribute to the successful implementation of the EHS management programmes, aiming to reduce losses to the business and employees

Profile

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • GMP experience highly desirable
  • Manufacturing or Pharmaceutical industry experience desirable
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications advantageous
