Job Title:
Compliance Officer
Field: Elderly - Dementia Care / Residential Care


Location: 6 Residential Care Homes Located in the southwest and southeast regions of England.


Salary:
Will be Discussed


Work Time:
Part-time


The main purpose of this role is to ensure a high level of Quality and Compliance across our multiple sites, working closely with the Home Managers, Operations Managers and Senior Management Team at Head Office.


Comply with CQC - Quality Assurance Framework that ensures that standards of good clinical governance, safety netting and best practice are met.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Perform audits, process information, and recommend appropriate actions, highlight the best practice. Audits will include all aspects of Resident care such as results, Up to date personal Care plans, and onward referrals.
  • Perform quality consultation audits at regular intervals and report all findings and outcomes.
  • Perform quality audits in accordance with an annual schedule
  • Perform adhoc audits dictated by Managing Director.
  • Promote continuous improvement in the quality and safety of patient services.
  • Handle CQC complaints, Investigate and respond to compliancerelated incidents, including conducting internal investigations as necessary and providing action plans.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of and adherence to agreed personal Residential Care pathways.
  • Support the development of new policies and protocols where necessary to improve patient care and promote best practices.
  • Promote an organisational culture that recognises issues of quality, risk and Residents' safety and adheres to policies and protocols.
  • Provide monthly analysis and reporting of quality assurance.
  • To become Quality Representative for CQC guidelines and perform quality checks and relevant reviews as dictated by the quality standards Training & Development given by CQC.
  • To provide feedback to teams with suggestions for improvement as and when identified.
  • To actively promote education and development across the business and share learning outcomes with teams and drive implementation.
  • Assist the team to implement processes to achieve accurate and consistent data entry and read coding using templates where possible.
  • Maintain current and accurate records of all relevant communications, audits, corrective action plans, training, and effectiveness monitoring.
  • Provide reports for internal and external requirements.
  • Monitor and improve operational process flow where necessary.
  • Must have experience with Residential elderly care with Dementia with strong home management experience.
  • Must have experience in achieving Good CQC reports.
  • Must have registered manager experience.
  • Must be passionate about personcentred care.
  • Must have good business and Communication skills.
  • Must have good CQC knowledge.
  • Must be passionate about quality care.
  • Extensive knowledge of a residential care home/ nursing home setting
- must have experience working with turnaround care homes and long-term care home compliance support.

  • Ability to critically analyse data and solve problems as well as the ability to negotiate and influence others Good organisation is essential along with excellent computer, technology, and numeracy skills.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 3 to 5 year Multisite managerial experience.


  • Relevant qualifications

  • NMC, RMA/LMA, NVQs or Degree
  • Experience in HR, Operations, Finance & Compliance management specialising in Residential Elderly Care.
  • Experience with extensive stakeholder management, ranging from home managers through to commissioners and CQC.
  • Demonstrable experience with local authorities, CQC, NHS, CCG and CHC
  • Car Driver
  • Flexible to travel throughout the southwest and southeast region.

Salary:
From £50,000.00 per year

Education:


  • Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)

Experience:


  • Residential dementia Care: 5 years (preferred)
  • Compliance management in
Health Care Sector: 3 years (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
