About the role


We are currently recruiting for a
maternity cover Compliance Auditor for our site in
Coleraine. You will be able to identify risks, areas for improvement and help ensure that the organisation complies with all relevant regulations, laws and standards.

Day to day you will be insuring products consistently meet our customers standard alongsidedaily confirmation of orders and completing customer audits for our retail business.

You will be involved in exciting projects around BRC standards and work for a Kerry site that has enjoyed recent and ongoing expansion / investment.

This is a full time position,7am-4pm Monday to Friday with a 1 in 4 requirement to work a Sunday.


Key responsibilities

  • To provide guidance and support to facilitate the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Quality / Regulatory policies, Food Safety Programs (HACCP) procedures and product specifications.
  • Perform factory based QSHE audits and inspections to verify compliance against defined standards, codes of practice and product specifications. Audit and inspection examples include
  • Gap Analysis, Traceability exercises, Glass and Hard Plastics, Internal,Hygiene, HACCP/QC Verification, Health and Safety, Environmental etc.
  • Supporting the upkeep of Quality Management system including but not limited to updating forms, visual standards, standard operating procedure.
  • Continuously improve standards set and performance against those standards by leading and participating in CI Process when required with a particular focus on Quality.
  • Deliver training, support and guidance to the cross functional Teams and ensure standards are fully understood e.g. Quality briefings / Meetings, GMP training, Food Safety awareness, Issue Management briefings.
  • Provide support to cross functional team through confirming and verifying compliance to standards e.g. hand back following engineering work, exceptional situations, risk assessments.
  • Perform verification checks on factory measuring and testing equipment
  • Complete product assessments and taste panels as and when necessary.
  • Take ownership of the sites pest controls programme, interface with area owners and representatives on investigation and corrective action and keep pest control log up to date

Qualifications and skills

  • You will be a fluent communicator, both written and spoken in English.
  • Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office tools.
  • Understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
  • The ability to identify and actively plan improvements and adapt in a changing environment.
  • The ability to word both independently and in a team

Desirable:


  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of the BRC Global Food Standard and H&S Policies and Procedures.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Management systems eg. ISO 14001, 50001.
