Global medical technology company searching for a Microbiology Leader to be based in Swindon - The role is responsible for leading and maintaining the local microbiology laboratory.

Description

As a successful Microbiology Leader you will:

  • Ensure that microbiology product testing and batch release is performed sufficiently.
  • Offer expertise to project teams for microbiology requirements including sterility validation and environmental conditions.
  • Resolve the operating requirements of the cleanroom manufacturing areas.
  • Review the performance of all air handling and filtration systems in controlled production areas.
  • Be involved in the selection and validation of subcontract sterilisation facilities and processes.
  • Evaluate and approve, new and modified products, manufacturing processes, procedures, materials, utilities and environments.
  • Be involved in the training of Microbiology Technicians.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and maintain procedures associated with microbiological control in the QMS.

Profile
To be a successful Microbiology Leader you will have:

  • A degree in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent
  • A good understanding of microbiological procedures (environmental monitoring, bioburden, BET, sterility tests)
  • Knowledge of cleanroom operations
  • Experience in multiple sterilization standards for routine monitoring and validation
