The Role


Reporting to the Machine Construction & Procurement Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the sourcing, purchasing and stock control of all materials and components in the Engineering Design and Development Engineering departments within Almac Engineering Services.


This will involve ensuring:
- materials and components are ordered to specific AES requirements
- designated storage areas are kept accessible and clean at all times.
- all material is labelled, stored correctly and properly protected against damage or deterioration
- all goods inwards checking procedures and paperwork is complete for invoice approval


Key Requirements

  • Have eligibility to work in the UK OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up fulltime, permanent employment in the UK
  • 5 GCSE's & CLAIT or similar
  • Previous experience in a purchasing role, negotiating with suppliers.
  • Previous experience in stock control

Desirable Requirements

  • Third level qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Significant experience in dealing with suppliers and working to budgets.
  • Experience in implementing traceability systems within a manufacturing industry
  • Current licence for Counterbalance and/ or Reach Forklift Trucks

Further Information
This role will be based on a flex working pattern.

This means you can work between the hours of 7am - 7pm with core working hours of 10:00 - 16:00.
