Verus Recruitment Partners are pleased to be supporting an accountancy practice in the recruitment of an experienced Accounts Senior to join an expanding well-established accountancy firm, based in their Leeds office.

Great opportunity for someone looking to progress and develop within their career while working alongside highly experienced accountants.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of company financial statements, quarterly VAT returns, interim management accounts, personal tax returns, partnership accounts, and returns
  • Forecasts and business projections
  • Able to manage own portfolio of clients
  • Train junior members of staff and allocate duties
  • Attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners
  • Any other general accountancy/administrative work as required

Someone with the following skills and experience:

  • At least 4 year's experience in an accountancy practice enviroment
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Good IT skills and use of Office 36
  • Sage 50
  • Sage Business cloud
  • IRIS
  • Strong record keeping
  • Xero
  • QuickBooks
  • Must be at least studying towards or have studied one of the following AAT/ACA/ACCA.
