Key Responsibilities:


  • Accurately and efficiently manufacture equipment and parts.
  • Take a proactive role to improve delivery performance, e.g., new methods, tooling etc.
  • Understand and interpret technical plans and drawings.
  • Record time accurately onto Mercury System via capture gun, and sign off route card to indicate operation completion.
  • Care and maintenance of machine, ensuring machine is cleaned down at the end of each shift and oil levels are correct.
  • Identify faults with machine and report to Supervisor/Manager.
  • Advise of any faults in quality or efficiency immediately, and investigate to resolve with the assistance of the Supervisor/Manager.
  • Record all machined components using data capture gun.
  • Work on the 2 Axis machines where required.
  • Ability to work on own and as part of a team.

Qualifications/Experience:


  • Engineering apprenticeship, i.e., time served turner/miller or relevant experience gained within a manufacturing environment.
  • Three years' Mazak Integrex programming/operating experience essential.
