Reach Out is a farm and work based proficiencies Centre for adults with learning disabilities. Specialising in Autism, Downs syndrome and mental health. Set in Hampshire just outside of Eastleigh our Centre is peaceful but in an easily accessible area.
We create a safe and calm working space for Individuals to come and experience activities such as; Farming, Animal care, Woodwork, Equine Management, Horticulture, Mechanics and Shop experience.
Our mission is to give our young adults the tools and materials to become more independent and gain life skills to help them in the future.
Job description
We are looking for someone to join our small team, at Reach Out caring we are all a big family and are looking for someone who is compassionate about making a difference in young adults lives to join our team.
We are based on a farm and have lots of animals including, dogs, chickens, donkeys, ponies, sheep, goats and so much more We go on lots of trips out with our individuals making sure there days are fun but also making sure they learn vital life and work skills.
We have a fully functioning workshop where individuals can be creative and make different items.
We are ideally looking for someone with experience in looking after adults with learning difficulties, we are a family run business and there will be the opportunity to move up the company as the business grows.
In your position you will be working closely with our service users teaching them life skills, work skills and giving them the opportunity to be more independent for their future.
Ideally we are looking for someone who is good with animals and/or has some wood work/mechanic knowledge to help in our wood workshop and farm, this is not compulsory.
If over 21 with a full driving licence you will be put through training to drive a 9 seater mini bus as we offer a transport service for all our service users, pick ups start at 8am and last drops at 5pm, sometimes a little later.
Pay varies depending on experience from £10-15 an hour with opportunities for pay rises if you show commitment, willing and loyalty.
Salary:
£10.00-£15.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Common surfaces are regally sanitised. All of our buildings are very airy with fresh air flowing through. Masks are worn on Mini-buses
