We are seeking to recruit
two drivers to each work
20 hours weekly - split shift for our Dementia Centres.

Individuals who will enjoy working to ensure they make a positive difference in the lives of Croydon residents attending the Centres - all of whom have dementia.

This means taking responsibility for driving residents' to and from their homes to the dementia centres, plus working closely with carers, an escort, other Centre staff and Croydon Transport services staff; to optimise the experience of residents attending the Centre; meet individual needs and enrich their lives within a safeguarding and health and safety framework.

We need individuals who understand quality of service starts with them.

Individuals who have a positive, caring, and respectful approach towards residents. Excellent Teamwork and communication skills are paramount.

The appropriate D1 licence or its equivalent is essential, and completion of MIDAS training is also preferred. Applicants without the required driving licence will not be considered.

The service currently operates Mondays to Fridays covering 8.00 to 1800 hours.

Plans are being considered for service extension beyond these hours when you will be required to work on a rota system.
