About us

We are looking for a Groundskeeper for an exclusive events venue located approximately 34 miles from Aberdeen and 18 miles from Stonehaven. The site is one of only six 5-star exclusive use venues in Scotland, catering for luxury private events within the main house in addition to three self-catering Holiday Cottages.
As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the landscaping and caring for the estate grounds. This includes grass and hedge cutting, strimming and weeding, ensuring that the grounds are maintained to a high standard.

What will I be doing?
You will be responsible for performing the following tasks in addition to any other Management requests:

To undertake general ground and garden maintenance
Ensure lawns are well kept and mowed regularly
Ensure trees and hedges are trimmed to the required standard
Maintenance and trimming of plants
Weeding of paths and borders
Clearing of leaves from the grounds
To assist with refuse & recycling collection and disposal
Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned (moving furniture)

To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the below attitudes, behaviours, and skills:

Experience of machinery (driving utility vehicles)
Ability to work in all weathers
Ability to lift and move heavy items

It would be preferable in this position for you to demonstrate the following competencies:

Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work on your own under direction
Previous experience in a similar role

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence.
