Essential Qualifications:
―Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)


Essential Qualities / Skills:
―Organised and able to manage your own workload flexibly

―Flexibility in working across teams within the company

―Excellent verbal and written skills, including telephone manners

―Excellent interpersonal skills and solution focused approach to professional relationships

―Resilient, determined to achieve goals and committed to the ethos of the college


Desirable Qualities / Skills:
―Good IT Skills including Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets

―Willingness to participate in further training and development opportunities

―Experience of working in the creative industries/a range of industry contacts


Key Tasks:
Coordinate an agreed caseload of students to plan, source, monitor and evaluate work placements:
―Match students and employers using information from curriculum staff and careers team

―Assist in learning activities so students are prepared for their work placement

―Respond to related enquiries from employers, students and guardians

―Keep records of placements, ensuring there is sufficient evidence to meet funding requirements

―Monitor and visit students to ensure progress throughout their work placements

―Maintain productive working relationships with employer staff, alongside curriculum and career teams:
―Relay information between employers and the college ensuring all business leads are referred to the appropriate college nominee and the college is kept informed on trends and business requirements

―Wider careers team tasks, participating in meetings, planning activities and process development

―Provide cover and undertake other duties as directed by the Careers Manager

―Ensure data is handled with confidentiality and adhere to all related policies

―Be responsible for own health and safety at work and comply with all related policies

―Advise the Careers Manager of issues that could/impact on the quality of service


Salary and Days of Work
―0.6 FTE

―Pro rata of 25 days of annual leave plus UK bank holidays

―This is a permanent part-time position

―Pro rata of annual salary FTE £31,000 (actual salary £18,600)

―Start Date ASAP
