Description

Duties:

  • Perform general clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents
  • Assist with order entry and data entry using QuickBooks
  • Manage and organize office supplies and inventory
  • Assist with event planning and coordination
  • Maintain calendars and schedule appointments for staff members
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as recording expenses and preparing invoices
  • Perform receptionist duties, such as greeting visitors and answering phone calls
  • First point of contact for all patients and visitors both in person and on the telephone, dealing with queries using own initiative and taking appropriate action.
  • Responsible for booking clinic appoinments as requested on PAS. Take responsibility for making sure patient detaisl are correct and enterine them on PAS, updating casenotes with any changes. Making up new charts when necessary.
  • Distribution of booking lists to cnsulting rooms and pulling/filling charts for the clinics.
  • To print and collate clinic lists, booking summaries and receptionist lists for the following day's clinics.
5. laising with ambulance control/transport if required and dealing with transport related problems as they arise for patients attending clinics.


  • Provide cover to any other area with the nephrology division including ward clerk cover when required.
  • In liaison with the OPD team, ensure that patients are kepy informed of any delays in the clinic.
  • Prepare patient labels for casenotes.
  • Record all clinical activity on PAS.
  • Participate in regular team meetings.

Essential Criteria -
1.4 GCSEs or equivalent at Grades A-C including English Language or equivalent/higher qualification


OR
1 years' relevant experience in a clerical/administrative role

Experience in the use of Microsoft office Word


Desirable Criteria -
Experience of using a computerised database such as the patient administration system.

Experience of reception duties.
