Description
My client based in the Glossop are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator.

The company are specilaists in supplying high quality engineering products / fabrication and machining services.

The Role;

  • MIG, MMA & TIG welding
  • Marking out and cutting using PLASMA & oxy acetylene
  • Fabricating in mild steel, stainless steel and Aluminium materials
  • Rolling drums, tanks and hoops on powered and manual rollers
  • Cutting sheet materials on 3 mtr guillotine
  • Folding and bending material on hydraulic press brake 3mtr/200 tonne
  • Repairing items that have suffered from corrosion
  • Fabricating frames, platforms, guards, brackets, supports etc.
  • Ideally suited to someone who has been a fabricator for a min 5 years
Essential Skills

  • Welding knowledge of a range of materials, thicknesses from 1mm up to 50mm
  • Ability to read, and understand, engineering drawings
  • Experience of working in a fastpaced engineering fabrication workshop
  • Organised and tidy approach to work with good communication skills
  • Flexible and confident to tackle complex work
  • Competency in operating overhead cranes
  • Good attention to detail and pride in the finished product
  • Lifting & slinging knowledge, inc MS, STST & Aluminium
  • Familiarity with engineering Health & Safety requirements
Desirable Skills

  • Driving licence & FLT licence
  • Experience of development for hoppers and tundishes etc
  • Welding cast iron, and highgrade stainless steels
Working Days (Monday to Friday) 7am - 4pm
