£20,650 rising to £21,165 (Pro Rata) after successful probation period (Pay review 1st April 2024)

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced individual to join our Central Support Services Team here at Carers Federation.
Working with the CSS Officer and CSS Administrator you will be the first point of contact for general enquiries with regard to in-house purchase ledger matters, HR and Recruitment queries.
Your role will vary on a day to day basis and will involve maintaining accurate and up-to-date record systems and ultimately delivering a professional central support service for Carers Federation colleagues, clients and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the Purchase ledger accounting system which includes setting up new suppliers, ensuring purchase orders are completed, inputting purchase ledger invoices, posting payments and reconciling month end supplier statements.
- Raising sales ledger invoices, posting income and producing a monthly aged debtor report for management.
- Collating and sending out any new starter info packs including HR formal offer letters.
- Producing staff annual leave cards
- Assisting line manager in updating periodic review dates for CSS policies & procedures & CSS forms in line with controlled document list
- Replacing updated policies & procedures on to the website and controlled document list as and when requested by the Chief Executive
- Inputting monthly staff credit cards and petty cash expenditure on to accounting system
- Assisting with the administration of any Health & Safety compliance for Pelham Road
- Reception cover as/when required
- Updating Contractor & Supplier Spreadsheets
Essential Experience:
- Providing timely and accurate information
- Familiarity with computerised purchase ledger and general ledger software, preferably Sage/Quickbooks.
- High level of interpersonal skills with colleagues, managers and clients/customers.
- Ability to recognise problem situations and resolve or escalate to line manager.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload.
- Ability to accurately input data into systems, to extract and present data.
- Ability to pay attention to detail, identify inaccuracies and take corrective action.
- Ability to work on own initiative but knows when to involve line manager.
- Ability to communicate clearly by phone, mail and in person to share or answer questions on own area to others.
- A flexible and supportive team player, who is willing to 'muck in' and do whatever is needed.
