Description - Trustee (Voluntary Role)


Wordsley Housing Society is looking for new Trustees with the enthusiasm, creativity and commitment to join our Board of Directors.

Would you like to make a difference? Then we would like to hear from you We are looking to recruit at least three new Trustees to our registered charity operating as a company limited by guarantee.


This is a voluntary role and is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a successful Supported Living Service based in Stourbridge, West Midlands.

We are committed to providing excellent support and accommodation to the people of Dudley and surrounding areas who have a mental illness and proud to have been running for over 30 years

  • Experience of and/or caring for a person with mental health problems
  • Experience in financial management
  • Experience/knowledge of the Mental Health Act
  • Experience in communication and personnel
  • Experience with writing bids for Grants
  • Experience of working within diverse communities and/or minority represented groups
  • Understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities, and liabilities of trusteeship.
  • Any other skill(s) that would benefit our organisation.


The Board of Directors is responsible for the financial and legal governance of the organisation, setting the strategy, implementing governing documents, policies and generally supporting the Manager and team providing services.

Board meetings are held every eight weeks on days and times to suit the board.
