Support Worker / Crosby / EBD

Our Social Care department is recruiting Support Workers for a 3 bedded children in the Crosby Liverpool area. You will be working alongside an experienced team of Managers and Support Workers to provide the best possible care for the young person in the home who will have EBD and Challenging Behaviours

Overview:

Title: Children's Residential Support Worker
Pay: Up to £29,600 per year (NVQ L3)
Location: Crosby, Liverpool
Hours: Sleep Shifts 09:30 23:00 SLEEP 07:00 10:00 am FINISH
Expected to do 9 sleep shifts a month, 10 the next
Fulltime permanent position

The role:
What you'll be doing as a Support Worker

To support the children and young people in all daytoday activities and interests
To promote the young person's independence and wellbeing on either a 1:1 ratio or 2:1 ratio
To attend weekends away, holidays and trips away with the Children
To attend weekend and evening activities to support the children and young people in their interests. This can range from climbing and baking cakes to weekend activities away
To protect the children and young people from any risks to their health and welfare
To provide emotional and practical support to the young people within your home.
To ensure the safety of young people by maintaining uptodate knowledge of care plans and guidelines
To support, overcome and learn to minimise incidents when behaviour can be challenging.
