Job Description:


The role of a luxury housekeeper is to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction in all properties, public areas, and back-of-house areas.

The housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that all areas are impeccably clean, well-maintained, and visually appealing, providing a luxurious and comfortable environment for guests.

This is a diverse role that will offer a diverse mix of jobs, including cleaning, laundry and dog walking.

The housekeeper's duties and responsibilities include:

Property Cleaning:

Conduct thorough and efficient cleaning of all properties and a private estate, including making beds, changing linens, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and cleaning bathrooms.

Attention to detail is crucial to ensure high standards. Training is provided, and we would be happy to have someone willing to learn.

Restocking and Inventory:

Monitor and replenish guest supplies, such as toiletries, linens, towels, and amenities, to ensure that guests have an uninterrupted and luxurious experience during their stay.

Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the appropriate personnel.

Public Area Cleaning:
Clean and maintain the public areas.

This includes dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, polishing surfaces, emptying trash receptacles, and ensuring a visually appealing and welcoming environment for guests.


Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards. Identify and address any issues or deficiencies promptly, coordinating with maintenance or other relevant departments to resolve them.

Laundry and Linen Management:
Oversee the handling, sorting, washing, drying, ironing and folding of hotel linens, including bedding, towels. Ensure the proper handling and storage of laundry items and maintain adequate stock levels to meet guest needs.

Team Management:

Supervise a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards and efficient workflow.

Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to promote a high level of professionalism and productivity.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

Collaborate with other departments, Maintenance, and Laundry, to coordinate guest requests, resolve issues, and ensure a seamless guest experience.

Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to provide necessary information and support.

Guest Satisfaction:
Strive to exceed guest expectations by delivering exceptional service and responding promptly to guest requests and concerns. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Prior experience as a housekeeper in a luxury hotel or highend hospitality establishment. (not essential, all training can be provided)
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and supplies. (not essential, all training can be provided)
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in a fastpaced environment.


A housekeeper plays a vital role in creating a luxurious and comfortable environment for guests, ensuring that their stay is memorable and exceeds their expectations.

Salary:
£20,763.93-£30,141.04 per year
