I am working with a business based in the Leicester area that are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team.

Reporting to the Chief Accountant, this role will have responsibility for managing statutory reporting and year end audit; including close liaison with external auditors.

The business can offer hybrid working once settled, 37.5 hours per week.

Description

Produce Statutory Accounts for all trading companies
Prepare the annual statutory accounts
Assist the wider finance team with technical accounting queries
Analyse overheads and cost center month end data
Prepare month end journals and full balance sheet account reconciliations
Identify opportunities to continuously improve the accounting, statutory reporting and company secretarial process
Ensure compliance with company secretarial filings to Companies House
Completing various tasks for group reporting and internal audit
Preparation of the VAT returns and key contact for Corporation tax returns liaising with our inhouse specialists and external advisors
