We have an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Engineer Lead, to join our manufacturing engineering team, based at our production site in Basingstoke.

The Role

As Continuous Improvement Engineer Lead, you will be responsible for the implementation of Continuous improvement processes and procedures.

You will manage teams of Engineers, technicians, and operators to achieve the overall business needs and on time completion of projects.


Key duties:


  • Leading advanced manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
  • Supporting, maintaining, and improving current production processes.
  • Working with NPD, Engineering, Production and supplier to design and implement new processes
  • Diagnosing and suggesting solutions to production problems.
  • Supporting NPI in development of new products and processes
  • Assisting in the qualification and documentation of tooling.
  • Training and developing staff.
  • Managing and planning jobs based upon company priorities.
What are we looking for?


Key Skills:

Essential

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Proven track record of excellent leadership
  • Proven knowledge of successfully implementing new processes
  • Experience of specifying new equipment with external suppliers
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve problems, educate, and work to exacting standards.
  • Competent use of measurement tools
Desirable

  • Experience in an R&D Environment
  • Experience in metallic/composite manufacturing environment
