Reporting to the Prototype Supply Leader, you will lead the management of prototype transport and the delivery of accurate, accessible, safe and secure storage for OEM Car goods with dangerous goods awareness.


Key Duties & Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the correct handling and storage of dangerous goods in particular to include lithium batteries within the prototype stores operation.
  • Raise dangerous goods paperwork as required for road and sea transport.
  • Use the thirdparty logistic providers software to book shipments.
  • Control the Prototype Light goods vehicle fleet and electric MHE.
  • Assist with booking in and invoice queries.
  • Progress orders by maintaining regular contact with the relevant suppliers, buyers, and engineering.
  • Assist with courier requests and consolidation.
  • Carry out racking inspections.

Qualifications and Experience ideally required:


  • Should ideally be educated to Degree standard, although plenty of relevant experience will be considered.
  • You will be an experienced Transport Coordinator with a full awareness when it comes to the transportation of dangerous goods by road, sea and air in line with changing global requirements.
  • You will need to be competent in vehicle loading techniques and procedures.
  • You should have inhouse computerised stock control experience.
  • You will need to be computer literate.
  • You should have an understanding of Health & safety and COSHH requirements.
  • Reach and counterbalance Full Forklift Truck competence including daily / weekly inspection requirements would be useful.
  • You should ideally be spillage response trained.
  • Should be fully aware of the requirements for correct Manual Handling.
  • You will ideally be familiar with racking inspections.
