Lovett Care is seeking a
Ledger Clerk to join our amazing team at Lovett Care.

Job Purpose:


The Ledger Clerk will be responsible for maintaining the Sales and Purchase Ledger through the inputting data relating to Sales, purchases and expense invoices, managing and reconciling supplier accounts, managing residents accounts and dealing with queries and arranging payments accordingly.

The role reports to, and works closely with, the Assistant Accountant.


Key Accountabilities:


  • To match invoices to orders and post to the Purchase Ledger, dealing with price and quantity differences where necessary.
  • To perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Raising of Sales Invoices
  • Liaising with Local Authority with invoice/Resident queries
  • Liaising with resident families over invoice payments/queries
  • Arranging Direct Debit Collections
  • Allocation of Receipts and Payments
  • Posting bank transactions
  • To initiate cheque/BACS runs and raise manual payments, as necessary.
  • To set up and maintain supplier accounts/resident accounts.
  • Assisting with month end reporting
  • Payment processing
  • Posting and monitoring petty cash
  • Working with the finance team to carry out ad hoc tasks.
  • Completion of mandatory E-Learnings
  • To embed and demonstrate our company values throughout your working day

Qualifications:


  • AAT is advantageous but not essential.
