This is an exciting opportunity to join the Nursing Associate Apprenticeship Programme supported by Hull University Teaching Hospitals.
As an apprentice you will develop your knowledge and work towards progression into the post of Registered Nursing Associate through successful completion of the Nursing Associate training programme which includes the attainment of a level 5 Foundation Degree equivalent qualification.
The Programme will support you to develop and maintain knowledge, skills and competencies related to the role of Nursing Associate within the service which includes working in care settings and delivery of person-centred care.
To Deliver high quality, compassionate care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (or other registered care professional dependent on setting) with a focus on promoting health and independence.
As an apprentice you will be fully supported by the apprenticeship team during the programme to learn and develop into the role of the registered nursing associate.
A trainee Nursing Associate will be based, as an employee, in Hull University Teaching Hospitals, in a specific setting, but will experience working in alternative settings and providers in order that they gain a wide appreciation of many health and care contexts and are able to fulfil all the requirements of the programmeHull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust strongly encourages new starters to have the Covid-19 vaccine. However, it is not a mandatory requirement to work for us.
HUTH has two main sites:
Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital with an annual budget of approximately £800 million.
The Trust employs around 11,000 staff and serves an extended population of 1.25 million, delivering a number of outpatient services from locations across the area.
The Trust's secondary care service portfolio is comprehensive, covering the major medical and surgical specialties, routine and specialist diagnostic services and other clinical support services.
These services are provided primarily to a catchment population of approximately 600,000 in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire area.
HUTH provides specialist and tertiary services to a population of 1.25 million extending from Scarborough in North Yorkshire to Grimsby and Scunthorpe in North East and North Lincolnshire respectively.
