We have a great opportunity to support the Payroll Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of payroll for our internal customers.

We are looking to recruit a
Payroll Administrator who is looking for career progression and who would relish a challenge in supporting the team in further improving the payroll process.

This is a fundamental role in fulfilling our vision for a sustainable and profitable future for the maritime sector.


Accountabilities:


  • Ensuring that all starters and leavers are processed in a timely manner.
  • Inputting and processing of timesheets, overtime returns, time & attendance lists, and absence reports in preparation of the monthly pay runs.
  • Checking all payroll adjustments e.g., pensions, allowances, deductions, court orders etc. in preparation of the monthly pay runs.
  • Processing P45's and P46's.
  • Maintenance of the Payroll filing systems, both online and offline.
  • Providing payroll statistics for internal and external customers as required.
  • Investigation and resolution of internal and external queries.

To assist the Payroll Supervisor with identification and implementation of process improvements including a paperless office.

  • Always maintain health and safety practices.

About you:

Preferably a good working knowledge of current UK payroll legislation and a basic level payroll qualification. Knowledge of current data protection legislation. Willingness to learn new software packages and identify process improvements. Attention to detail and accuracy is paramount, ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines. Excellent IT skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially word and excel. To be able to communicate effectively (written & verbal). Good communicator, a team player with good organisational skills.
