You will be helping to ensure that all weddings are special and memorable for our couples and their guests, ensure that our live events all safely run to plan; support and supervise our bar teams at events; moving equipment and furniture in preparation for room hire; and ensuring our site remains presentable for our visitors.
The Visitor Experience Officer will also help to promote and deliver our diverse Events Programme, help to support the office in administrative and financial procedures, and actively work with management to assess and improve processes and policies.
This position does not have line management responsibilities, but will work actively with the Weddings and Events Coordinator, Llanthony Secunda volunteers, Event Duty Managers, and trustees.
The Visitor Experience Officer will be managed by the Operations Manager.
The events/cultural industry is demand led but the site will generally open at 9:00am and not close until the early hours on event nights.
Many of the working hours will fall during normal office hours, but due to the nature of the role, working hours will be flexible and will include regular evening and weekend work.
We ask for flexibility from the role, but we can also be flexible should you have any other commitments. The post is predominantly office/site based from Llanthony Secunda Priory in Gloucester, due to the nature of the role.Skills
We are looking for someone who prioritises customer service.
Llanthony prides itself on delivering excellent customer service, so you must be passionate about engaging with people, confident to talk to large groups of people, be able to think on your feet and remain calm, positive, and professional when working under pressure.
You must be able to work as part of a team and take a leading role when necessary. Previous experience in the events industry, and/or experience of working behind a bar is preferred, but not essential. You should have strong organisational and problem-solving skills, and must be able to work flexibly, including weekends.Application Process
