Actual Salary £18,188 - £18, hrs per week 39 weeks per year

The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who is a committed and highly motivated practitioner to work with the team of teachers, leadership team and support staff to build on the current strengths of the school and improve the school further.


  • Have a commitment to promoting our relationships and behaviour policy.
  • Have excellent classroom practice and skills to support teachers in delivery of the curriculum in the classroom and the wider school.
  • Support, motivate, nurture and challenge young children.
  • Have high expectations of the relationships, behaviour and progress of the children.
  • Be able to establish positive professional relationships with children, parents/carers and staff.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and the selfmotivation to work independently.
  • Be highly motivated and work as part of a very successful team committed to the success of the school.
  • Committed to making a difference and passionate about children's learning.
  • A general understanding of the EYFS and National Curriculum.
  • Have Maths and English to at least Level 2

The main purpose of the role
To support the class teacher in the teaching of pupils. To support children with their learning. To follow and adapt teaching plans to support children. To work in partnership with the class teacher to provide pastoral support for children in the class.

To support children at playtimes and over lunchtime, particularly supporting them in their play and in resolving any issues that occur.

To provide basic first aid as necessary. To support children with their personal needs and medication as needed (training may be required).
