Commitment (approximately) 6 mornings per year for bi-monthly Board meetings and 4-6 mornings per year for Sub Committee meetings

GCT is a forward thinking and ambitious charity delivering housing and care services to Older People with a range of support needs, including those who live with dementia.

We offer a network of services (our circle of care) that blend in response to the circumstances of needs of those we assist.

We are also commercial landlords and own and manage a coffee shop.


Unusually, we have vacancies on our Board of Trustees and are seeking individuals who can contribute to the strategic direction and oversight of our diverse and expanding organisation.

We are looking for people who have the relevant skills along with a social conscience, and the commitment to make a difference.


You would be joining a focused team that will contribute to the delivery of our five-year Strategic Plan which presents both new challenges and huge opportunities.

A key role for the Board, working with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, is to determine the priorities in these circumstances.

We work in a challenging environment where the landscape is continually changing. Budgets for support services have been drastically cut and are still reducing in real terms.

This requires us to consider carefully how to protect and develop our income streams and create greater efficiency without compromising on quality.


We are keen to attract applicants who share our values and ethos and are committed to making a difference for the vulnerable people we serve.
